ER110 now out (and other stuff)

I've just found out Erotic Review 110, the Garden Issue - the first one that's online only - is now out (yes, that was a link to it, and I have absolutely no idea whether you're going to be able to read the issue for free or will have to pay a subscription first - try it and find out?).

It has my story 'The Sensory Garden' in it. Something of a first for me since there's no bdsm in it!

Incidentally as part of its restructuring and move away from print, the Erotic Books part of ER is being wound up and really nice things are on offer at extraordinarily cheap prices. Get it while it's there at www.eroticprints.org/erbooks/superbargains.asp.

  1. I just tried... first screen had a place saying the price was 25 pounds, but I registered anyway and was successful (without having to pay anything). Maybe it's just for one issue?

It was a little awkward not being able to input page numbers; I mean, you can only move one page forward or one page backward at a time, or use the table of contents on the right to select the one thing you want to read. I like flipping through real pages! But I will adjust. :)

  2. It's good you could access the issue - the site's relatively new and I know they've had some problems developing it.

As to the one-page-at-a-time thing, unfortunately a lot of interfaces do this. Issuu.com, which has free content from a lot of magazines, is a little better but still only allows readers to move a few pages at a time.

I think the ER site will improve as time goes on, more features are implemented, they get used to working with an online-only format which gives them more flexibility than print, and they find out more about what readers want.
