The Naked Delirium fan!
It's been a while since I posted. I plead insanity, as in an insane (if self-imposed) workload of surfing the internet, playing Solitaire and making coffee - in between which I've been trying to write a(nother) novella, a story collection, some poetry (dodgy doggerel, really) and some sensible stuff about social policy.
But I'm also mindful that I promised a nicer pic of our author copies of Naked Delirium, and here it is, courtesy of Velvet Tripp; a fan of books. Yes, obvious pun, I know, but I'm known for being obvious.
Places you can buy the paperback edition of Naked Delirium include Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com; plus, apparently if you live near a branch of Waterstones you can pick it up off the shelves.
Places you can buy in kindle format are also at Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com, and about 10 other ebook formats are available at Smashwords. But the Kindle and ebook formats don't have the nice Georgio Verona illustrations in them.
The book has five novellas, including one from me ('Smoking Hot') and one from my partner, Velvet Tripp. The collection theme is 'sex in altered states', which in my story is interpreted as the unanticipated side-effects of hypnosis to stop smoking (as in, your mind is in control and you don't have to sublimate your desires) and Velvet's story is about spirit possession taking place in the course of a pagan camp.
Plus the individual novellas from the collection are available separately, but if you want links just scroll back to find them a couple of posts ago.
Dodgy doggerel, I said. If that's your thing, you can see it on my Tumblr blog - but be warned, I sometimes write stories for a porn website, Achtungfetish, and if you want to see the doggerel you'll also be seeing some fairly explicit pics of the bdsm scene that inspired it. 'Nuff said? The story is, of course, on the Actungfetish site in the members' area.
Finally: stand by for announcements soon about a paranormal erotic novella I did for Xcite, and a full-length, full-on, hardcore erotic bdsm novel finished recently and out soon from Pink Flamingo.

Tricks for Kicks published
Tricks For Kicks: Sex with Rewards - a new Xcite collection edited by Elizabeth Coldwell and with contributions from Veronica Wilde, Mary Borsellino, Fulani, Victoria Blisse, Maxim Jakubowski, Catelyn Cash, Landon Dixon, Tabitha Rayne, Heidi Champa, Dominic Santi, Kay Jaybee, Kathleen Tudor, Marleen Yong, Giselle Renarde, Cecilia Duvalle, Alanna Appleton, Cynthia Lucas, Sommer Marsden, Scarlett Blue and Elizabeth Coldwell.
Twenty stories in all, available in paperback (224 pages, £7.99) or electronically (£6.49).
Ever had the urge to pay for your thrills? The characters in this collection have, but it’s not just money that changes hands when these lovers go all the way. Pimps and prostitutes, gigolos and gold-diggers are all to be found enjoying Tricks For Kicks. And let’s not forget the boys and girls of the vice squad, whose intentions are often just as dishonourable as the hookers they’re arresting.
From girls who’ll do anything for that special piece of jewellery to the confessions of the woman running the best little whorehouse in town, here are twenty tales of sex for money – and other benefits.
My own story, 'Filthy White Dress', is a foray into a world in which an actress is paid for her encounters with a guy who wants her to act out his fetishes. And yes, they're sexual fetishes - but probably not in any conventional sense of the words 'sexual' or 'fetish'.
As a disclaimer I should point out my piece also appears in the smaller five-story ebook-only Making Her Pay, which also contains the stories by Veronica Wilde, Mary Borsellino,Victoria Blisse and Maxim Jakubowski and is available at a very reasonable £2.99. Xcite do this with quite a few collections now, to give the choice of 20 stories in one book or four smaller 5-story publications.
In other news - the Erotica Romance Ebooks site that Xcite ran alongside its own website, and that enabled some authors to sell directly to the public, currently redirects to the main Xcite.com website. And no, I don't know if that's a temporary thing or not. More news as I get it.

Vampires? Vampires!
OK, so this afternoon I was reading the proofs of my new lesbian vampire novella - The Vampire Skye, which might possibly even be out in time for Halloween (I'll post an update when I have a definite date).
It's not particularly long - 15,000 words - but it took me a while to work out locations, history, and an explanation for vampires that's half-inspired by and extremely loosely based on some recent scientific stuff.
But just before I started I was struck by a BBC news article. Headline details: in the UK the latest consumer price inflation figure is 5.2%, average pay settlements in the private sector are 2.6%, and company directors' incomes (salary and bonuses) as reported by Incomes Data Services also increased in the last year - by 50%. Average pay increase for this group was 43% and average bonus payment increased by 23%.
I sat there joining the dots, making sure I'd read the decimal points correctly, and thinking I'd been writing about the wrong kind of vampires...

Seducing the Myth out in paperback
I know I'm being tardy getting posts up. Planning to move house tends to do that. Even though we're only going a few miles/kilometres down the road, it's still the same processes, hassling solicitors and packing things in boxes for the move...
Meanwhile:
I had a story recently in Seducing the Myth, the Lucy Felthouse collection of erotic fiction based on myth. 'Andi in Chains' re-imagined the Andromeda story in a kind of pulp fiction style. Both book and story have had some impressive reviews, and in addition to ebook format the book is now available as a paperback from The Book Depository, which is UK based but ships to something over 100 countries including the US and most if not all of Europe, and a lot of other places as well. Plus, shipping is free.
I also did a blog post on the background to the myth - the characters, who they were, the geography and how it relates to real places you can still visit today - and some background on the (re)writing of the story. It's on Lucy Felthouse's blog, the 'Myth Monday' entry for 24th Octobber 2011.

Happy New Year to everyone (and some self-congratulation!)
This is a self-congratulatory post and I'm not going to apologise for it! I've been doing some end-of-year sorting and filing, as a result of which I've just noticed that in the course of 2010 I've published, in terms of erotica -
- 14 short stories in magazines/collections/anthologies: 6 with Xcite, 6 in Erotic Review, 1 in Oysters & Chocolate, 1 in Lucrezia magazine
- 3 short stories published individually, all with Xcite
- 3 stories on other people's blogs (Frequently Felt)
- My first full-length erotic novel (with Pink Flamingo)
- a bunch of stories out on my new 'other' blog which I've set up jointly with Velvet Tripp, deliciouslydeviant.wordpress.com
That's in addition to several short science fiction and horror stories published under my real name.
Stuff in progress at the moment includes a single-author erotic story collection and a second novel, with a second story collection and a third novel being planned... I haven't set myself any New Year resolutions about getting things finished, but hopefully most if not all of that stuff will appear in the course of 2011.
Meanwhile, congratulations also to the authors whose blogs appear in the links on the right of this page, who've all put out excellent stuff this year, sometimes in the face of quite serious difficulties. And a happy New Year to everyone.

New story out from 17th Dec at Oysters and Chocolate
Just a quick announcement that Fulani's short story "Relieving the Stress" will go live on Oysters and Chocolate online magazine this Friday, December 17th. So it's a free read, probably in their "Liquorice Whips" story category (aka sensual BDSM).
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Deliciously Deviant

Velvet Tripp and I have set up a second blog for both our erotic stories - she has one out with Xcite at the moment and some others that will appear in 2011.
Have a look at Deliciously Deviant. There's even a free, previously unpublished story of mine on there to tempt you. It concerns a couple whose idea of a fun day out is to buy a new coffee table. Except it doesn't get used for coffee...
